Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Glaxosmithkline Consumer Nigeria Plc on Monday offered to reward investors of the Company with a N1.20 Kobo dividend payout for its 2011 Financial Year End (FYE).
This is contained in the Corporate Actions of the Firm released to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and obtained by www.investadvocateng.com in Lagos Nigeria.
The N1.20 Kobo dividend payout to shareholders of the Company is the same amount paid in year 2010 end.
Glaxosmithkline in the Corporate Action affirmed that qualification date for those to benefit from the dividend payment is April 23 2012, while closure date of Register of shareholders to be rewarded with the N1.20 Kobo dividend is April 24-30 2012.
The Company further affirmed that payment date would be May 23 2012 after its Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held May 22 2012 in Lagos Nigeria.
In the same vein, the Company announced the appointment of Andries Van Rooijen a Non-Executive Director; following the resignation of Baharat Shah as a Non-Executive Director of Glaxosmithkline.
Rooijen was born on September 7, 1973. He had his high school education at Gelofte High School (Pinetown, South Africa) from 1987 – 1991. He obtained a B.Com (Financial Management) from Rand Afrikaans University (Johannesburg, South Africa) from 1992 – 1994.
Van Rooijen started his work career at Ned Enterprise (a division in the NEDCOR banking group, South Africa) as Business Analyst – 1995 – 1997; Investigating Accountant, Lloyds Bank Securities and Citibank (London, England) 1997 – 1999; Business Analyst, Dimension Data (South Africa) 2000 – 2001.
He joined GlaxoSmithKline (Pharmaceuticals, South Africa) as Senior Financial Analyst, January 2002 – October 2004; Financial Controller, November 2004 – March 2006; GlaxoSmithKline (Consumer Healthcare, South Africa) Financial Manager – Marketing March 2006 – April 2007; Financial Manager May 2007 – June 2009; GlaxoSmithKline (Consumer Healthcare, Southern Africa) Head of Supply and Value Chain – July 2009 – September 2011; GlaxoSmithKline (Consumer Healthcare, Africa) Business Analyst and BD – Africa. Until this appointment, Rooijen was the Area Supply Chain Head, Africa of GlaxoSmithKline (Consumer Healthcare, Africa) and he is married.
