Guaranty Trust Bank Plc has been recognised as the 2012 ‘Best Bank in Nigeria’ by Euromoney Magazine for the fourth consecutive year.The award, which was presented during the 2012 Euromoney Awards for Excellence Dinner, in London last Saturday, recognised financial institutions worldwide that have recorded significant feats within their operating environments and continuously display innovation and record excellent financial performance year on year.
According to Euromoney Magazine’s Editor, Mr. Clive Horwood, GTBank’s receipt of the prestigious Bank of the Year Award for the fourth time in a row is an unprecedented feat which bears testimony to the bank’s position as a first- class, profitable and focused institution.
In a statement by the bank on Wednesday, the Group Managing Director of GTBank, Mr. Segun Agbaje, ascribed the award to the bank’s well defined operating strategy, the passion and commitment of GTBank employees and adherence to values that included hard work, discipline, a passion for excellence and a service- focused culture.
Agbaje further stated that the bank would continue to seek innovative ways of offering its stakeholders exceptional service. He also thanked the bank’s customers for their continuous patronage and tremendous support over the years.
