Courteville exhibits at London`s Fashion show, post 30.2% increase in Turnover

London (INVESTADVOCATE)-Courteville Business Solutions Plc operating on the Commercial Services Sector of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Friday exhibited at the Africa Fashion Week (AFW) in London United Kingdom (UK) in its bid to support and provide e- business solutions to Companies; including Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs).

Adebola Akindele, the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (GMD/CEO) in a chat with www.investadvocateng.com said Courteville as part sponsors to this event in London will support SMEs.

“Courteville is a Business Solutions Company, but we always strive to support small businesses and new initiatives coming out of Nigeria especially” Akindele said.

According to him, the Organisers of the Fashion Week are ordinarily stakeholders that are close to the business in Nigeria.

“We came not only to support part of the Fashion Week; but have come to showcase some of the products and services that we get to do very well in Nigeria” he said.

He affirmed that Courteville has partnership with Iman Communications; comprising the Trybe Records; who are one of the performers at the Fashion Week.

“We are showing people what we can do in online businesses either here in London or back home in Nigeria” the Courteville GMD said.

Akindele said that the latest product of Courteville the “Egole” can support business activities because of the reach. “By coming online, businesses can reach out not only to people in Nigeria; but other parts of the world and that is what Egole has been designed to achieve” he affirmed.

“Egole is getting popular and widely accepted in Nigeria; because we have launched it there; but I can assure you that we have started carrying out activities on Egole from here; with just your Laptop, Ipad or any other Mobile Device and assess to the internet you will be able to do online transactions” Akindele said.

On his part, Kamari Ademiluyi, Organiser of the Fashion Week London said Ronke Ademiluyi her sister is the Founder of the show.

“She is the Founder, but we are jointly organising the show, we are organising the African Fashion Week together, we have previously done this in Nigeria” Ademiluyi said.

He affirmed that they couldn’t get enough Sponsors for the show back in Nigeria; but Courteville came to be part of the Sponsors of the London show.

According to him, they had wanted to host the Africa Fashion week during the Nigerian Golden independent Anniversary but couldn’t secure sponsorship.

“We are thankful for Courteville for coming over here in London to support us to host the event” he said.

 Ademiluyi said that for this year’s event, about 10,000 people are expected to participate.

”This is the Second Edition of the event, the maiden edition was done in Gibson Hall in London, last year, we expected about 500 to 1,000 people, but 5,000 turned up, so we planned it bigger this year expecting about 10,000 people, in day one of the event, we have recorded about 2,000 people.

Meanwhile, Courteville Thursday recorded an increase in Turnover of 30.2 percent (30.2%) in its Result Announcement for the Second Quarter (Q2) Report for the Period Ended June 30 2012 released on the Floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) in Lagos Nigeria.

Turnover of the Company in the review period grew from N384.445 million in the Q2 of year 2011 to N550.516 million in the same period of year 2012.
