The Chairman of the National Pension Commission, PenCom, Mr. Oluwole Adeosun is dead.
 
Adeosun, 74, died on Thursday, September 13, in New Delhi, India, where he had travelled for a medical check up, his son said in a statement Sunday.
 
The deceased Chairman was also a former managing director of Nigeria’s premier banking institution, First Bank Plc.
 
He was born on November 25, 1938 and was a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB); and the Chartered Institute of Secretaries (FCIS) and the Institute of Directors.
 
In 1993, he served as Secretary of Transport, Aviation and Communications in the short Transitional Government of Chief Ernest Shonekan in 1993.
