THE Senate Thursday,urged President Goodluck Jonathan to as a matter of urgency sack the Director-General, Security and Exchange Commission, SEC, Ms. Aruma Oteh.
According to the Senate, it will henceforth not have anything to do with the Commission if she remains as the head of SEC, just as it vowed that it threatened not to screen members of board of the Commission.
In a statement by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Capital Market, Senator Ayoade Ademola Adeseun, ACN, Oyo Central, the move by the Upper Chambers became imperative against the backdrop of the presidency reinstating the Director-General, describing it as a flagrant disregard of the resolution of the House of Representatives, after the House had earlier asked the President to sack her.
