Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE) – The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) value declined by 6.25 percent (-6.25%) to close the week compared to +30.27% recorded the previous week.
To record the decline, the NSE’S Turnover was 1.293 billion shares worth N13.725 billion (US$8.07 million) in 20,499 deals this week compared to a total of 1.929 billion shares valued at N14.640 billion (US$55.28 billion) that exchanged hands last week in 22,650 deals.
This indicates the volume transaction in the week dropped by -32.96% compared to +68.61% recorded the previous week.
Also, the NSE’s All-Share Index (ASI) depreciated by 1.02% (+32.18% YTD) to close at 27,402.06. While Market Capitalisation of the listed Equities depreciated by 1.03% (+34.02 YTD) to close at N8.755 trillion; (US$54.72 billion); indicating a N90.94billion (US$568.43 million) drop.
