Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-List of Market Making Stocks on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Thursday hit 39 as Dangote Cement Plc (DANGCEM) and Oando Plc and Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (Transcorp) joins.

“The inclusion of the three stocks from Industrial Goods, Oil and Gas and Conglomerates sectors becomes effective on Thursday, January 17, 2013. The addition of the new stocks is in line with the planned phased approach for introducing stocks to the programme, from the baskets allocated to the Market Makers on The Exchange†the NSE said.
Market Makers commenced operations on the Nigeria’s Exchange September 18 2012 with 16 stocks in their baskets.
Firms that commenced the Market Makers are RenCap Securities Limited, Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers, FBN Securities, ESS/DunnLoren Merrifield, Greenwich Trust Limited, CSL Stockbrokers, WSTC Limited, Vetiva Capital, Capital Bankcorp Limited and Future View Securities.
Stocks that were traded on inception include Sterling Bank Plc, Bagco Plc, Presco Plc, PZ Cusson Plc, Fidson Healthcare Plc, Red Star Express Plc, Fidelity Bank Plc, Zenith Bank Plc, UACN Plc, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc and Lafarge- WAPCO Plc.
Others are International Breweries Plc, Nigeria Breweries Plc, Diamond Bank Plc, First City Monument Bank Plc and DN Meyer Plc.
