Investor wins N0.5 million on “Virtual Investment Simulator”

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-An Investor, Owolabi Afeez Oluwatosin has won N500,000 in the INVESTMENT ONE Financial Services Limited “Virtual Investment Simulator” (VIS), a gaming platform designed to educate Potential Investors and Researchers to enable them interact with the Nigerian Equities.

According to the Statement, Oluwatosin emerged the first ever winner of the Virtual Simulator online game contest; at the end of its first phase after recording the highest returns on investment for the period.

Nicholas Nyamali, Managing Director (MD) of Investment One at the award ceremony said that the “Virtual Investment Simulator”, was designed to further INVESTMENT ONE’s Investment Education Project, a project aimed at encouraging participants to learn about how to make informed investment decisions as well as enhance their knowledge of the Financial Market.

Nyamali affirmed that the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC’s) “No objection” letter had earlier been obtained prior to the commencement of the online game.

The Statement further affirmed that the next phase of the Virtual Investment Simulator contest will commence in February 2013 and Interested participants can log on to www.investment-one.com/feds to register and play (terms and conditions apply).

As earlier reported by www.investadvocateng.com, the “Virtual Investment Simulator” gaming platform was launched third week of October 2012 by INVESTMENT ONE.

The VIS is a flexible online game portal with in-built capabilities to enable potential Investors and Researchers to interact with the dynamics of not only the Nigerian Equities; but with the Financial Asset Market.

Oluwatosin the winner of the first phase which lasted till December 31 2012 is a Youth Corps Member currently serving in Kwande LGA of Benue State North Central Nigeria.
