Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Friday reported that its Top 10 Brokers by value has ended the week with deals worth N27, 892,658,790.23.
According to the NSE, the top 10 Stockbrokers accounted for 61.13 percent (61.13%) of the total value traded from February 18 to February 22 2013.
Leading the pack is Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers Limited and Rencap Securities Nigeria Limited that transacted Deals worth N9, 811,320, 785.09 and N5, 922,381,054.72 in value respectively.
Afrinvest West Africa Limited and Chapelhill Denham Securities Limited did deals worth in value of N2, 105,071,529.35 and N1, 980,293,675.41 respectively.
On the other-hand, CSL Stockbrokers Limited and Zenith Securities Limited hit deals worth N1,964,331,805.16 and N1,655,460,118.82, while Cordros Capital Limited and FBN Securities Limited transacted deals worth N1,156,125,971.30 and N1,140,859,772.31 respectively.
On its part, ARM Securities Limited and Vetiva Securities Limited did deals worth in value of N1, 109,784,904.89 and N1, 047,029,173.18 respectively.
The above deals led to transaction in value of N27, 892,658,790.23 for the week.
In the same vein, Stanbic IBTC led the table on the Top 10 Brokers by volume for the week ended Friday February 22 2013.
A review of transactions by volume of these Firms shows that total volume of deals transacted was 1,971,168,971; thereby accounting for 39.71% of the total Volume in the review period.
A breakdown of these shows that Stanbic IBTC transacted Deals worth in volume of 535,690,078 10.79, BGL Securities Limited 201,970,196 and Equity Capital Solutions Limited 194,983,478.
Others are RECNCAP with 190, 536,687, CSL 186,908,236 and First Allstate Securities Limited with 145,979,424.
While, APT Securities and Funds Limited transacted deals worth in volume of 136,942,711 and Cashcraft Asset Management Limited 128,807,862 2.59, Chapelhill 125,882,440 and Regency Assets Management Limited transacted deals worth in volume of 123, 467, 859 to close the week.
