Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Friday reported that its Top 10 Brokers by value has ended the week with deals worth N34, 669,699,202.62.

According to the NSE, the top 10 Stockbrokers accounted for 70.35 percent (70.35%) of the total value traded from February 25 to March 01 2013.

Still Leading the pack is Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers Limited and Rencap Securities Nigeria Limited that transacted Deals worth N10, 217,643,098.70 and N9, 553,180,449.24 in value respectively.

When compared to the previous week IBTC and Rencap transacted Deals worth N9, 811,320, 785.09 and N5, 922,381,054.72 in value; the two Firms increased in value by 20.73% and 19.39% respectively.

FBN Securities Limited and CSL Stockbrokers Limited did deals worth in value of N 4,222,473,898.52 and N 2,215,909,046.21 respectively.

On the other-hand, Chapelhill Denham Securities Limited and Cordros Capital Limited hit deals worth N2, 190,301,022.28 and N1, 667,256,805.67; while ARM Securities Limited and Securities Africa Financial Limited transacted deals worth N 1,324,361,781.05 and N1, 222,270,552.59 respectively.

On their part, Partnership Investment Company Limited and Meristem Securities Limited did deals worth in value of N 1,143,654,803.60 and N912, 647,744.76 respectively.

The above deals led to transaction in value of N34, 669,699,202.62 to close the week.

In the same vein, Stanbic IBTC led the table on the Top 10 Brokers by volume for the week ended Friday March 01 2013.

A review of transactions by volume of these Firms shows that total volume of deals transacted was 2,082,787,568 1,971,168,971; thereby accounting for 45.68% of the total Volume in the review period.

When compared to volume of deals of 1,971,168,971 transacted last week with 2,082,787,568 this week, the number of volume of deals transacted increased by 5.63%.

A breakdown of these shows that Stanbic IBTC transacted Deals worth in volume of 498,079,216, Arbitrage and Strategy Limited 241,258,443 and Rencap 238,154,568.

Others are FBN Securities with 223,101,149, Meristem 195,031,521 and BGL with 164,117,611.

While, Chapelhill transacted deals worth in volume of 137,039,974 and CSL 134,294,582, Partnership Investment 132,870,188 and Security SWAP Limited transacted deals worth in volume of 118,840,316 to close the week.
