Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-The Top 10 Brokers on the Nigerian Bourse has ended the week with deals 21 percent (21%) less in value when compared to the previous week.
The Top 10 Brokers by value ended the week with deals worth N21,000,078,879.53 compared to N26,471,001,324.85 recorded the previous week; indicating a decline of 21% in the review period.
This week end, the Top 10 Stockbrokers accounted for 63.11% of the total value traded between 18/March/2013 and 22/March/2013 compared to 61.01% of the total value traded last week.
A review of the performance of the Top 10 Brokers in value shows that RENCAP Securities Nigeria Limited led the pack with N 5,670,631,035.02; Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers Limited transacted Deals worth N3,447,486,896.11 to close the week.
Also, CSL Stockbrokers Limited transacted deals worth N2, 448,462,620.05 Marina Securities Stockbroking Limited N2,066,052,465.52 and BGL Securities Limited N1,859,647,165.83.
Others are Chapelhill Denham Securities Limited, Partnership Investment Company Limited and Cordros Capital Limited transacted deals worth in value of N1,612,138,457.34, N1,086,489,608.97 and N1,078,753,296.61 respectively.
While FBN Securities Limited and African Alliance Stockbrokers Limited did deals worth in value of N1,056,059,098.57 and N674,358,235.51 respectively.
These amounted to deals worth in value of N 21,000,078,879.53 for the week ended March 22 2013.
For the Top 10 Brokers by volume for the review period, RENCAP Securities led the table in trading volumes of 363,079,757, while Marina Securities and CSL Stockbrokers transacted deals worth in volume of 198,646,674 and 198,629,602 respectively.
Others are Stanbic IBTC, BGL Securities and Partnership Investment doing deals worth in volume of 193,491,841, 140,360,824 and 90,777,610 respectively.
While, APT Securities transacted deals worth in volume of 86,950,945, Chapelhill Denham 76,789,626, FBN Securities 72,193,946 and Standard Alliance Capital transacted deals worth in volume of 65,256,423 to close the week.
This put together amounts to a volume of 1,486,177,248 which accounted for 47.61% of the total Volume traded in the review period compared to 2,937,279,449 total volumes of deals traded the previous week.
