Total Nigeria Declare N8.00 Dividend in 2012

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Total Nigeria Plc Thursday declared a N8.00 dividend compared to N7.00 paid in the 2011 end, INVESTMENT ONE Financial Services Research has said.

The N8.00 dividend payout to investors of the Company is a 14.28 percent (14.28%) increase in the Audited Report for the Period Ended December 31 2012.

To report the 14.28% increase in dividend payout to its shareholders, Total Nigeria declared a N8.00 dividend compared to N7.00 paid in the 2011 end.

Total Nigeria had for the three (3) years running paid increased dividend to its shareholders as in year 2010, it paid a dividend of N6.00 compared to N7.00 in the year 2011 end; showing an increase in dividend of 17%.

However, the N6.00 paid in year 2010 end is a 48.63% decrease compared to the N11.68 paid in year 2009 end.

Analysts say the Market initial reaction is positive with the stock currently on net bid position in excess of 300,000units. “At N169.05 current Market Price, this translates to 4.73% dividend yield” Analysts said.

Total Nigeria affirmed in its Corporate Actions  Qualification Date is April 19 2013 and closure of Register of Shareholders to benefit from the N8.00 dividend in year 2012 end is April 22 to 26 2013.

While payment date has been scheduled for June 21, 2013 after its Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for June 20 2013.

Similarly, Trans Nationwide Express Plc, (TRANEX) declared a dividend of 50 Kobo to shareholders for the 2012 Audited Year End.

TRANEX proposed 5 kobo dividend translating into 1.80% yield.

From the Companies Corporate Action Qualification Date is July 12 2013 and closure of Register of Shareholders for the dividend in year 2012 end is July 15 to 19 2013.

Payment date is August 08 2012 after the Company’s AGM scheduled for July 25 2013.
