Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)- In line with keeping to its core values of Service, Passion, Innovation, Resilience and Team Work, (S.P.I.R.I.T), Keystone Bank Limited Thursday availed the Media opportunity for capacity Building at the School of Media and Communication (SMC) Pan African University Lagos Nigeria.
Philip Ikeazor, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of the Bank represented by Ademola Adewale, Executive Director (ED) Operations and Technology of Keystone Bank in his speech “Writing and the Responsibility of the Perception Manager†at the 2013 Advanced Writing and Reporting Skills Class said the Bank is propelled to want to give back to the society in a meaningful and impactful way.
“We believe that education is a veritable vehicle of change in this regard. After all, one of the greatest aims of education is not only for knowledge but also for action†he said.
According to him, much as it is the responsibility of the different tiers of Government to stem the tide of the declining standard of education, especially the use of English Language in Nigerian schools, special commendation must go to the SMC Pan-African University for providing an excellent opportunity for capacity building amongst Nigerian professionals with the Advanced Writing and Reporting Skills course.

Ikeazor affirmed that being Perception Managers, whose English language writing skills is expected to be polished, advised the Journalists to lead the campaign for the entrenchment of improved use of the language not only in their immediate work environment but also in the larger Nigerian Community.
He further affirmed that the focus of the SMC Pan African University is effectively in alignment with the Bank’s vision of setting the pace in financial services delivery.
“Your role as Perception Managers is critical to the Bank’s focus in effective management of reputational risk and supporting the CBN towards managing environmental and social risk exposures in the country .It will be out of place for me to conclude this introductory speech without saying a word about Keystone Bank†Ikeazor said.
Keystone Bank is a full service Commercial Bank wholly owned by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) and was granted Banking License on August 5, 2011, by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
This is coming on the heels of the appointment of Ikeazor who resumed office last month by the Board and Management of Keystone Bank as the new MD/CEO to replace Oti Ikomi, former CEO who resigned his appointment with the Bank citing personal reasons.
Ikeazor is a Chartered Accountant and graduate of Economics, University of Buckingham, England. Ikeazor is a Professional Banker with over 22 years cognate experience especially in Corporate and Investment Banking.
