Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc (DANGSUGAR) Tuesday said it has appointed a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
This is contained in a notice from the company to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) in Lagos Nigeria.
According to DANGSUGAR, it has appointed Yusuf Suleiman as its Chief Financial Officer.
Yusuf Suleiman, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, was born on November 12, 1965. He had his University Education at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife where he obtained B.Sc. in Accounting (First Class Honors) 1984 – 1988. He became a member of the institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in May 1990 and was made a Fellow of the Institute (FCA) in November 2003.
In December 1994, he became a fellow, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCIT) and in August 1997, he got his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Lagos State University. He also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science from Delta State University (1999 – 2000) Mr. Yusuf Suleiman started his working career in 1988 at International Merchant Bank (IMB) in the Financial Planning & Control Division and between 1990 – 1993 he became the Head of Accounts and Management Information Systems of the bank.
He joined the Nigerian-American Bank Ltd (NAMBL) (1993-1995) as Head, Financial Control and Operations. In September, 1995 he went over to KAKAWA Discount House Ltd where he became the Group Head, Financial Services until May 2002.
Suleiman was at Societe Bancaire Nigeria Limited between June 2002 and July 2004 where he was the Group Head (DGM) Treasury, Risk Management and Financial Control. Between September 2007 and October 2009, Mr. Yusuf Suleiman worked with Citibank Nigeria Ltd as Chief Financial Officer and from July 2004 to September 2007, he became the Financial Controller with his roles ranging from direct responsibility and Supervision of Financial Control among other numerous responsibilities.
He moved over to Intercontinental Bank Plc where he was between October 2009 to October 2011 as the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer.
He has attended many seminars and trainings both within and outside Nigeria.
Mr. Yusuf Suleiman is married with 4 children.
