Transcorp Appoints New Chief Finance Officer

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Conglomerate, Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (Transcorp) Wednesday said it has appointed a new Chief Finance Officer (CFO), Ibikunle Oriola.

The company said this in a notice to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and made available to InvestAdvocate in Lagos Nigeria.

This is coming on the heels of the resignation of Oyewale Ariyibi, its CFO from the employment of Transcorp and the appointment Oriola as his successor in that capacity.

Oriola is a Chartered Accountant holds B.Sc. Degree in Finance (Second Class Upper) from the University of Lagos, Akoka in 2000 before being certified by the Institute of Chartered of Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) as an Associate member in 2000.

He started his working career as a Research Analyst in the Investment Management and Research Unit in Asset and Resource Management Company Limited (ARM)-A leading non-bank financial Services firm in Nigeria which offers fund and Asset Management Services ( March 2001 to June 2002)

Oriola moved to Kakawa Discount House Limited as an Officer; Corporate Finance (July 2002 to October 2003) while from October 2003- July 2007, he became the Senior Associate, Financial Advisory Services (Corporate Finance).

He joined KPMG Corporate Finance, Dubai; United Arab Emirate as an Assistant Manager between July 2007 to September 2008. From October 2007 to September 2010, he became Manager, Financial Advisory Services (Corporate Finance & Transaction Services and became the Senior Manager between October 2010 till July 2011.

On the training attended, he has attended many trainings both within and outside the Country among which are; Transaction Services 11 Training (UK, 2011), KPMG Manager Milestone School (Budapest, 2009), Oil/Gas & Power Project Finance, Euro Money Training (Dubai, 2008) among other trainings attended.

He was the Head, Financial Advisory-(Mergers & Acquisition/Investment Banking) with Eco Bank Development Corporation (Ecobank Capital) prior to this appointment.
