Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE) – United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) Friday said it has appointed Emmanuel Nnorom as a Non Executive Director of the Bank with effect from December 31, 2013.
This is contained in a letter dated January 10, 2014 by Bili Odum, Group Company Secretary of UBA to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and made available to InvestAdvocate in Lagos Nigeria.
This is coming on the heels of the approval of the Board of the Bank the resignation of Angela Aneke as a Non-Executive Director and retirement of Nnorom as an Executive Director (ED) of UBA.
‘’Please be informed that the Board of Directors of United Bank for Africa at its meeting held on Monday, December 16, 2013 approved the resignation of Ms. Angela Aneke as a Non-Executive Director and the retirement of Mr Emmanuel N. Nnorom as an Executive Director of the Board of Directors of the Bank effective December 31, 2013.
The Board also approved the appointment of Mr Emmanuel N. Nnorom as a Non Executive Director of the Board of Directors effective December 31, 2013 (subject to CBN approval),’’ the letter stated.
