Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Ecobank Nigeria has announced new winners in its Card 4 Prizes promo second monthly draws that held simultaneously in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja last week.
A statement from the bank and made available to InvestAdvocate affirmed that 15 lucky winners emerged from a transparent electronic draw witnessed by officials from national lottery regulatory commission (NLRC) and the consumer protection council (CPC) went home with different prizes including smart phones; Led TVs; air conditioners; home theatres and power generating sets.
Tunde Kuponiyi, head, cards and e-banking of Ecobank Nigeria said the promo which was flagged off in February is gradually achieving its objectives as more customers of the bank now utilise the alternative payment channels that includes ATMs, point of sale (PoS) terminals and internet banking.
He advised the bank’s customers who are yet to obtain Ecobank cards to do so in order to enjoy the benefits embedded in the various e-payment channels.
“A point based rating” is usually applied when selecting winners, customers are awarded points for every transaction done on the bank’s alternative channels,’’ Kuponiyi said.
According to him, the grand finale draw will hold in the three (3) centres in May 2014, and would be based on total accumulated points during the course of the promo.
On her part, Chinyere Iloene, seniour surveillance & enforcement officer, at the CPC who witnessed the Port Harcourt draws, commended the transparency it was conducted. She applauded Ecobank for its tradition of rewarding customers, ‘’the card promo will further promote business transactions,’’ she said.
Winners at the Lagos draws include Bankole Adedayo Grace (mobile); Atoh Jude Nyemike (LED TV); Adeyeye Olagoke Charles (air-conditioner); Kasarachi Opara (home theatre) and Shuaibu Adams Ebenechi (power generating set). The Port Harcourt draws produced Nwanya Chibuzo (mobile); Doris Andy Inyang (LED TV); Wilson Effiong Ita (air-conditioner); Ositadimma Ngozi Lynda (home theatre) and Asianya Chibuzor Emmanuel (power generating set) as winners. While at Abuja Kabiru Akande (Mobile); Luka Mikailu (LED TV); Ikurior Peter (Air-conditioner) and Mayowa Akanji (home theatre) and Hayatuddeen Suru (Power generating set).
