Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Africa’s largest sugar producer, Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc on Thursday said its profit after tax climbed up 8.8 percent to N3.758 billion in first quarter (Q) 2014 from N3.453 billion in the same period of 2013.
Profit before tax (PBT) also grew 6.1 percent to N5.769 billion in Q1 2014 from N5.439 billion in the corresponding period of 2013.
However, the sugar maker said its revenue declined 6.4 percent from N27.644 billion in the Q1 2013 to N25.884 billion in the review period of 2014.
