Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Brewing giant, Nigerian Breweries Plc said on Friday its half-year post tax profit climbed up to N23.871 billion up 15.5 percent from N20.663 billion in the same period of 2013.
Similarly, pretax profit grew 14.4 percent to N33.882 billion in the half-year of 2014 from N29.607 billion in the corresponding period of 2013.
Revenue increased to N141.495 billion in the second quarter (Q2) 2014 compared with N133.815 billion reported in the corresponding period of 2013 the beer maker said in a filing with the Nigerian stock exchange (NSE).
However, at the close of business on the Nigerian bourse, the company’s share price fell 0.35 percent losing 61 kobo as it opened at N176.22 and closed N175.61.
