The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) held the Zonal Annual General Meetings(“AGM”)of its Branch Councils in Benin City, Lagos and Abuja on August 11, 13 and 15, 2014 respectively.  The NSE has three Zonal Branch Councils: Port Harcourt/Onitsha Branch Council which covers both the South-South and South–East geopolitical zones that comprise Benin, Onitsha, Port Harcourt, Uyo and Owerri branch offices; Lagos/Ibadan Branch Council which covers Abeokuta, Ibadan and Ilorin branch offices and Kano/Kaduna/Yola Branch Council which covers Abuja, Kano, Kaduna, Bauchi and Yola branch offices. A highpoint of each Zonal AGM was the reconstitution of the Zonal Branch Council by the election and re-election of members.

The Port Harcourt/Onitsha Branch Council meeting which held in Benin City elected Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, CON. Other members of the Port Harcourt/Onitsha Branch Councilare City-Code Trust Ltd |(represented by Mr. Ebilate Mac-Yoroki), Mega Equities Ltd (represented by Mr. Sam Onukwue), Cradle Trust Finance & Securities Ltd (represented by Mrs Mary A. Ebong), and, Kapital Care Trust & Securities Ltd (represented by Mr. Michael K. Daniel). At a meeting of the Branch Council held following the AGM, Mr. Aig-Imoukhuede, OON was elected Chairperson of the Port Harcourt/Onitsha Branch Council.Elected for the Lagos/Ibadan Zonal Branch Council was Mr. Abimbola Ogunbanjo, and other members are; Golden Securities Ltd (represented by Mr. Emmanuel Ortswen); and Nigerian Stockbrokers Ltd (represented by Mr. Bosun Adekoya). At a meeting of the Branch Council held following the AGM, Mr. Ogunbanjo was elected Chairperson of the Lagos/IbadanBranch Council. 

Elected for the Kano/Kaduna/Yola Branch Council was Mr. A. B Mahmoud, SAN, OON, and other members are Tiddo Securities Ltd (represented by Mr. Isaac IortsorLight House Asset Management Ltd (represented by Mr. Emmanuel Ocholi), and PIPC Securities Ltd. (represented by Mr. Daniel Usman). At a meeting of the Branch Council held following the AGM, Mr. Mahmoud, SAN, OON was elected Chairperson of the Kano/Kaduna/Yola Branch Council.
