Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-78 quoted companies has so far declared dividend to its investors on the Nigerian Stock Exchange’s (NSE’s) 2014 closure of register list as at Friday August 22, 2014.
Amongst the 78 firms on the lists of the NSE’s 2014 closures of register, four (4) quoted companies issued bonuses to their shareholders as at the review period.
These include ABC Transport that offered 6 kobo dividend and 1 for 10 bonuses, construction giant, Julius Berger Plc N2.70 and 1 for 10 bonuses, UACN Property Development Company Plc 70 kobo and 1 for 4 bonuses, while healthcare firm, Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals Plc only declared 1 for 5 bonuses to its shareholders.
11 banks declared dividends in the review period, these includes: Access Bank Plc 35 kobo, Diamond Bank Plc 30 kobo, FBN Holdings N1.10, FCMB Group 30 kobo, Fidelity Bank Plc 14 kobo and Guaranty Trust Bank Plc N1.45 kobo.
Others are Skye Bank Plc 30 kobo, Stanbic IBTC Holdings N1.10 kobo, Sterling Bank Plc 25 kobo, United Bank for Africa Plc 50 kobo and Zenith Bank Plc N1.75 kobo.
Six (6) insurance companies are on the NSE’s 2014 closure of register list as at Friday August 22, 2014. The insurers are reinsurance giant, Continental Re-Insurance Plc 11 kobo, Custodian & Allied Plc 11 kobo and Mansard Insurance Plc 4 kobo.
Other insurers listed on the Nigerian bourse that declared dividends in the review period include NEM Insurance Plc 6 kobo, Nigeria Insurance Plc 3.5 kobo and Royal Exchange Plc 5 kobo.
While six (6) out of the 15 oil and gas sector listed firms has declared dividend as at the review period. The companies are Conoil Plc N4.00, Forte Oil Plc N4.00, Mobil Oil Nigeria Plc 6.00. Others are MRS Oil Nigeria Plc N74.96, Total Nigeria Plc N9.00 and Japaul Oil & Maritime Services Plc 2 kobo.
