The Sun newspapers Vice Chairman, Pastor Dimgba Igwe, in the early hours of Saturday, was reportedly  knocked down by a vehicle, while jogging around his residence in the Okota area of Lagos State.

As a result of the accident, a family source hinted that Mr Igwe sustained a fatal injury and was immediately taken to the emergency unit of a hospital, where he underwent surgery, but died afterwards.

The Chairman of the Sun Publishing Limited Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, was said to be shocked by the incident and described the day as the darkest day in the history of the organisation.
