Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Insurer, Wapic Insurance Plc said on Wednesday Ashish Desai has resigned from the company as managing director (MD) with effect from July 28, 2015, the insurer said in an issuer’s announcement with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

According to the company in line with its succession planning policy its board of directors, intends to conclude the process of recruiting a successor before the end of the year.

“In the interim, Bode Ojeniyi, the deputy managing director (DMD), whose appointment was approved by the National Insurance Commission on 23 March 2015 shall assume responsibility for the company until such time as the process of selection for the chief executive officer is concluded,” it said.
