Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Pan-African lender, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) said on Monday Sheila Mmbijjewe has resigned from its board following her appointment as deputy governor of the Central Bank of Kenya.
“Her replacement on the ETI board will be announced in due course,” the bank said in notice to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
Similarly, the lender also announced the resignation of Graham Dempster from its board which follows his retirement from Nedbank.
ETI says Dempster has been replaced on its board Mfundo Nkuhlu, chief operating officer (COO) and executive director (ED) of Nedbank.
According to the bank, Nkuhlu has held his current position with Nedbank since January 1, 2015. He joined the bank in 2004 and has held other seniour positions at the company.
Before Nedbank, he was the general manager (GM) for strategy and planning at the South African Revenue Service, the lender affirmed.
Shares of ETI at the close of trading on Monday at the Nigeria bourse dropped 0.90 percent per share; as it opened N20.00 and close N19.82; losing 0.04 kobo per share.
