Diamond Bank Reports 21.68% Decline in Q3’15 Pretax Profit

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Nigeria’s lender, Diamond Bank Plc said on Monday its pretax profit for the third quarter (Q3) period ended September 30, 2015 declined 21.68 percent to N18.59 billion from N23.74 billion recorded a year earlier.

Similarly, profit after tax (PAT) dropped 20.88 percent to N15.96 billion from N20.18 billion posted in the same period of 2014.

Gross earnings of the bank inched up slightly from N120.03 billion in the Q3 of 2014 to N122.69 billion declared in the review period of 2015; showing an increase of 2.22 percent, Diamond Bank said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

At the close of Monday’s trading on the Nigeria bourse, share price of the lender dropped 0.70 percent to N2.84 from N2.86 traded the previous session; losing 0.02 kobo per share.
