Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Nigeria’s lender, Skye Bank Plc said on Tuesday its pretax profit for the third quarter (Q3) period ended September 30, 2015 grew 21.5 percent to N14.979 billion from N12.333 billion recorded a year ago.
Similarly, profit after tax (PAT) increased the same margin of 21.5 percent to N11.983 billion from N9.866 billion reported the same period of 2014.
Also, gross earnings climbed up from N97.126 billion in 2014 to N129.238 billion posted in the Q3 of 2015; indicating a rise of 33.1 percent, the lender said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
Shares of Skye Bank at the close of trading on Tuesday at the Nigerian bourse declined 3.37 percent to N2.01 from N2.08 traded the previous session; losing 0.07 kobo per share.
