Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE) – Nigeria’s tier one lender, First Bank of Nigeria Limited, on Wednesday advocated increased younger generation participation at the Africa Business Forum 2016.
The conference in its fourth series is an annual forum that convenes business leaders across several sectors in Africa and investors seeking to do business with the aim of moving Africa to the next level. The event themed “Africa Rising: Leveraging the Power of a Younger Generation” is scheduled for 10am on March 3, 2016 at the Lagos Business School, km 22, Lekki-Epe Express way, Lagos.

According to the Bank, the conference would build resourceful conversations on enhancing business practices continent-wide as well as proffer solutions to issues peculiar to doing business in Africa.
Olusegun Mimiko, executive governor of Ondo State would deliver the keynote address with speakers drawn from a range of subject-matter experts. “FirstBank has supported this conference through the years to facilitate capacity building among business owners, especially SMEs which are pivotal to economic growth and development,” the Bank added.
The lender recently unveiled its new SME Campaign specially designed to help SMEs grow their business with diverse product and service offerings. FirstBank’s package provides the right mix of products and services with professional staff designated to work with the business owner to provide flexible and dependable services, helping SMEs achieve consistent growth and success in every area of business.
Folake Ani-Mumuney, FirstBank’s spokesperson, said the Bank is passionate about driving the African Business terrain to enhance the sustainable growth of the African economy and create the right environment for investments. “We would continue to lead and support conversations as well as create opportunities that will make Nigeria and indeed Africa a better continent”, she said.
The conference is targeted at business managers, leaders, and investors. It is driven by a team of dedicated Lagos Business School MBA students with a desire to contribute their own quota to the success of the Africa continent.
