Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Beermaker, International Breweries Plc said its pretax profit for the year ended March 31, 2016 climbed up 28.9 percent to N3.65 billion from N2.81 billion recorded the previous year.
Similarly, profit after tax (PAT) grew 36.6 percent to N2.65 billion from N1.94 billion posted the same period of 2015.
Also, revenue rose from N20.65 billion in 2015 end to N23.26 billion in the review period of 2016; indicating a growth of 36.6 percent, the brewer said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday.
International Breweries has proposed a final gross dividend of N1.15 billion to shareholders of the company amounting to 35 kobo per share.
The company said closure date is July 15, 2016 and payment date has been scheduled for August 11, 2016.
