About 35% of the stocks currently listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange recorded no price movement so far in 2016, as revealed by analysis.
Out of the 62 stocks; stocks from the financial services sector dominated the list with twenty-seven (27) stocks, services follow closely with ten (10) stocks while ICT and Oil & gas both have five (5) each.
Construction/Real Estate (4), Consumer Goods (3), Healthcare (3), Agriculture (2), Industrial Goods (2) and Natural resources (1) also made the list to complete the pack.
STDINSURE recorded the highest number of volumes traded among the 62 stocks closely followed by EQUITYASUR and UNITYKAP while UHOMREIT.
GOLDINSURE, SIMCAPVAL, AFRIK, MTECH and ANINO record no volume traded at all so far in 2016.
JAPAULOIL has the highest number of trading days among the 62 stocks with price movement. CILEASING and EVANSMED follow closely in that order while RAKUNITY records the least number of trading days.
