In line with the listing requirements of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), the Board of Directors hereby announces the resignation of Mallam Suleiman Yahyah, OON as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company with effect from May 2, 2017.

Mallam Yahyah has served on the Board of Directors of AshakaCem Plc for six years, and was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors in March 2015.

The Board of Directors and Management are grateful to Mallam Yahyah for his leadership of the Board and meritorious service to the Company.
The Company’s Board of Directors will appoint a new Chairman at its next meeting.
