THE IMF ARAB YOUTH CAMPAIGN ON INNOVATION, in collaboration with the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), is asking young innovators (ages 18 – 35) from the Middle East and North Africa to share their ideas in a two (2) minute video via the official website of the contest: https://imfyouth.ning.com/.
The objective of the campaign is to include the voices of young people in the upcoming high-level conference in Morocco and to highlight the great innovative work young people are doing in the region. The campaign was launched on October 6 and runs until November 30, 2017.
All participants—whether they use cameras or mobile phones—are asked to submit original videos that provide information on innovative initiatives (inventions, businesses, organizations/ initiatives, start-ups/apps) that have impacted their communities in any of these areas:
- Creating jobs
- Empowering women and youth
- Promoting education and knowledge sharing
- Boosting transparency and anti-corruption measures
- Demonstrating how to address the areas listed above, including in the context of conflict or fragility
Three winners will be chosen to present their work at the Opportunity for All: Promoting Growth, Jobs, and Inclusiveness in the Arab World Conference on January 29-30, 2018 in Marrakesh.
By participating in the competition, the contestants agree to the competition terms and conditions.
Winners will be selected to present their projects to policy makers and business leaders at the conference. They will receive a round trip to Marrakesh from any Arab country/city, covering related traveling expenses and accommodation. Their winning videos will be shown at the conference and through the IMF’s various media and social media channels.
