Market activity: Total volume in today’s early trade contracted compared to what it was this time yesterday while total value improved relative to yesterday’s intraday value. Investors have so far exchanged c.58m units of shares worth c.N753m as against c.76m units of shares worth c.N606m in the previous trading session. FBNH (+0.55%) is the most actively traded stock with c.24m accounting for c.41% of total volume. 

Likely close: We could see the market close down today if the profit taking in Consumer goods and Industrial names continues.
