ETI Reports N69.99 Billion Profit in 2017 End

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)- Pan-African lender, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) said on Wednesday its profit for the period ended December 31, 2017 rose 233.1 percent to N69.99 billion from a negative of N52.60 billion recorded a year earlier.

Similarly, pretax profit increased 362.0 percent to N88.30 billion from a negative of N33.70 billion declared the same period of 2016.

Gross earnings of pan-African lender  grew from N665 billion to N763 billion in the review period of 2017; showing a growth of 14.8 percent, ETI said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

Shares of the Bank at the close of the session’s trading on the Nigerian bourse declined 4.77 percent to N17.95 from N1885 traded the previous session; losing 0.90 kobo per share.
