Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Africa’s largest sugar producer, Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc on Tuesday said its pretax profit for the period ended December 31, 2017 climbed up 173.3 percent to N53.5 billion from N19.6 billion recorded a year ago.
Post tax profit of the company also grew 176.4 percent to N39.7 billion from N14.4 billion posted in the corresponding period of 2016.
The sugar refiner said its revenue increased from N169.7 billion in 2016 end to N204.4 billion in the review period of 2017; representing an increase in revenue of 20.4 billion, Dangote Sugar said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
