MIDDAY UPDATE: Nigerian Stocks Dip -1.44% on Losses Across all Sectors

ASI as at 12.00pm: -1.44%. 

Market movers: FLOURMILLL (-9.81%), FIDSON (-9.80%), JAIZBANK (+9.76%) and NPFMCRBK (+3.96%).

Sector Performances: Banking (-7.53%), Consumer Goods (-1.16%), Industrial (-0.59%) and Oil & Gas (-0.12%).

Market activity: In today’s early trade, total volume and value fell by 15% and 42% respectively compared to this time yesterday as investors have traded 268million units of shares worth about N1.82billion.

WAPIC is the most actively traded stock thus far with about 100million units of shares accounting for about 37% of the total volume. 

Likely close: In the absence of a significant gain in the prices of DANGCEM and MTNN, the market may close down today if the losses in all sectors persist.
