The NGXASI advanced by 0.32% today to close at 104,283.64pts, as investors buy interest in banking stocks like ZENITHBANK (+8.78%), GTCO (+5.69%) and UBA (+4.32%) drove the domestic bourse into the green zone.

In the Fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed slightly up, as we observed tepid buy pressure across the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield moderated by 1bp to close at 17.66%. However, the FGN Bond market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged at 19.29%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 5.97% to close at NGN 1,300.43/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 0.29% to USD86.00pb.
