The NGXASI declined by 0.43% today to close at 103,736.32pts, as the selloffs observed in GTCO (-6.49%), MTNN (-1.29%) and FBNH (-3.32%) drove the market into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed downwards today, as we observed some buying pressure across the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield advanced by 53bps to close at 18.13%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield were up by 1bp to close at 19.30%.
At the NAFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 0.62% to close at NGN 1,255.07/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 0.47% to USD88.93pb.
