The NGXASI trended lower today to close at 98,233.76 pts, as the losses printed in PZ (-9.90%), FLOURMILL (-4.87%) and TRANSCORP (-0.59%) pushed the market into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market reversed its course today as the pressure on all tenors persisted. As a result, Average T-Bills yield climbed by 1bp to close at 22.46%. In line, the FGN Bond market traded on a tepid note in the day as the Average FGN Bond yield remained constant at 18.61%.
At the NAFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.45% to close at NGN 1,466.31/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 0.70% to USD83.29pb.
