The NGXASI advanced by 0.58% today to close at 99,793.71pts, as the buying interest in ACCESSCORP (+9.86%), TRANSCOHOT (+5.48%) and ZENITHBANK (+4.66%) propelled the equities market into the positive zone.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, as yields moderated at the short end of the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield fell by 4bps to close at 21.96%. However, the FGN Bond market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield inched up by 2bps to close at 18.75%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira appreciated marginally by 0.02% to close at NGN 1,483.62/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 2.16% to USD81.34pb.
