UBA, ETI, Oando Drives Nigerian Equities to -0.63% Gain

The NGXASI advanced by 0.63% today to close at 99.378.28pts, as positive sentiment observed in OANDO (+7.66%), ETI (+5.88%) and UBA (+1.06%) drove the local bourse into the green zone.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed negative today, largely due to the downward momentum seen across the mid and long tenor instruments. As such, Average T-Bills yield rose by 5bps to close at 25.70%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield climbed higher by 5bps to close at 19.53%.

At the NFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.07% to close at NGN1,533.00/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 0.84% to USD74.03pb.
