The NGXASI rose by 0.22% today to close at 101,356.15pts, as buying interest in TRANSCORP (+4.77%), GTCO (+3.07%) and MTNN (+1.42%) drove the Nigerian equities market into the green.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed on a positive note today, on the back of the decline in yields across the short end and belly of the curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield fell by 5bps to close at 25.65%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 19.73%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.26% to close at NGN1,538.00/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) decreased by 0.99% to USD72.22pb.
