The NGXASI declined by 0.05% today to close at 102,133.13pts as the profit taking in UBA (-4.03%), GTCO (-1.64%) and ACCESSCORP (-2.83%) drove the Nigerian bourse into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note amid the buying pressure noticed across the benchmark curve. As a result, Average T-Bills yield decreased by 8bps to close at 25.49%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond market traded on a slightly negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield inched up by 1bp to close at 19.75%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.20% to close at NGN1,534.00/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 0.87% to USD73.90pb.
