The NGXASI declined by 1.66% today to close at 103,622.09pts as the bearish sentiment seen in DANGCEM (-9.98%), JBERGER (-9.98%) and MTNN (-3.72%) drove the local equities market into the negative region.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note, driven by the losses observed on the long end of the curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield rose by 11bps to close at 25.35%. In line, the FGN Bond market traded on a bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 1bp to close at 19.93%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira declined by 0.05% to close at NGN1,549.65/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) slumped by 1.26% to USD79.99pb.
