NGXASI Dips -0.04% to Open Week, Dragged by FIDELITYBANK, ZENITHBANK

The NGXASI declined by 0.04% today to close at 105,933.03pts, as losses observed in FIDELITYBK (-4.81%), UBA (-2.68%) and ZENITHBANK (-2.31%) drove the local bourse into the negative zone.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed positive as yields had declined across all tenors of the curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield fell by 6bps to close at 22.47%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market closed on a bullish note as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 4bps to close at 20.49%.

According to the FMDQ FX closing rate, the Naira appreciated by 0.04% to close at NGN1,500.95/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) advanced by 1.82% to USD76.02pb.
