The NGXASI receded by 1.02% today to close at 108,053.58pts, as gains witnessed in BUAFOODS (-10.00%), STANBIC (-5.43%) and TRANSCORP (-1.64%) drove the local bourse into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed positive as yields had declined across all tenors of the curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield fell by 9bps to close at 22.08%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market closed on a bullish note as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 9bps to close at 20.52%.
According to the FMDQ FX closing rate, the Naira appreciated by 0.35% to close at NGN1,509.70/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 0.07% to USD74.97pb.
