The NGXASI declined by 0.20% today to close at 119,741.20pts, as the losses recorded in DANGCEM (-3.41%), ZENITHBANK (-1.58%) and GTCO (-1.23%) drove the local bourse into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note driven by the decline in yields across the curve amid buying interest from investors. As such, the Average T-Bills yield dipped by 14bps to close at 20.06%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 13bps to 18.32%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.01% to close at NGN1,529.58/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 0.57% to trade at USD67.12pb.
