BUACEMENT, MTNN, CUSTODIAN Drags Nigerian Stocks to -0.56% Loss

The NGXASI declined by 0.56% today to close at 145,756.09pts, as profit taking in MTNN (-4.17%), BUACEMENT (-3.66%) and CUSTODIAN (-8.48%) drove the local bourse into the red zone, ending its twenty-six (26)day winning streak.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bearish note, driven by selloffs observed at the mid to long end the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield inched up by 7bps to close at 17.92%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 3bps to close at 16.51%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.01% to close at NGN1,533.57/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 0.15% to USD66.33pb.
