The NGXASI advanced by 0.23% today to close at 142,708.71pts, as the gains printed in TRANSCORP (+8.48%), FIDELITYBK (+5.26%) and STANBIC (+1.77%) propelled the local equities market into the green zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bullish note due to the positive sentiment observed amongst investors as yields declined across the curve. Thus, the Average T-Bills yield fell by 5bps to close at 17.93%. In the same vein, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield decreased by 4bps to close at 16.34%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 0.07% to close at NGN1,475.35/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 1.31% to close at USD67.08pb.
