The NGXASI advanced by 0.57% today to close at 147,042.99pts, as gains in DANGCEM (+6.48%), NEM (+5.23%) and UBA (+1.30%) drove the Nigerian equities market into the positive terrain.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly negative note, following selloffs observed at the long end of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield rose by 2bps to close at 17.39%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a relatively muted note as the Average FGN Bond yield closed flat at 15.98%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.78% to close at NGN1,455.17/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 3.65% to close at USD62.84pb.
