The NGXASI advanced by 1.01% today to close at 151,456.91pts, as gains in BUAFOODS (+6.54%), FIRSTHOLDCO (+4.46%) and TRANSCORP (+1.46%) drove the local bourse into the positive region.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note, following the decline in yields observed across the long tenor of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 1bps to close at 17.34%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market also traded on a positive tone as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 4bps to close at 15.92%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.13% to close at NGN 1,463.45/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) appreciated by 0.56% to close at USD61.35pb.
